We’re seeing double. This past weekend, singer and actress Jessica Simpson, 42, shared a candid photo slideshow of her and her youngest daughter, Birdie, spending some quality time with the family pup, Dixie.
The first photo shows the “I Wanna Love You” singer’s 4-year-old daughter, who is wearing a bubble gum pink dress and pigtails, smiling and holding Dixie in front of what appears to be a wooden staircase.
But it was the next snap that really made us do a double-take. In the second pic, Simpson and her daughter (who she shares with husband Eric Johnson, 43) look quite a bit alike as they pose with Dixie. The caption read, “My sugar cookies [white heart emoji].”
Her followers couldn’t get over the uncanny resemblance between Simpson and her daughter, Birdie, with one person writing, “You and your daughter are identical.” Another commenter gushed over the pair, writing, “Just adorable.”
This is not the first time the Employee of the Month alum has shared a photo of her children. Just last month, the mother of three shared a snap of her oldest daughter, Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 11, in celebration of her birthday. In the photo, Simpson’s daughter also looks like a younger version of her as the pair poses for the cam.
Those genes sure are strong.
