Since you already have the dress, the shoes and even the hairstyle picked out, we tapped six celebrity makeup artists to share the top wedding makeup trends we’re going to see everywhere in the coming months.

If you’re on the fence between matte and dewy looks, this hybrid gives you the best of both worlds. The cloud skin trend mixes your matte foundation with hydrating skincare products (like serums and moisturizers) for a soft, velvety finish. “Wedding beauty trends are mirroring the times with emphasizing skincare,” says Greenberg. “The rise of healthy skin and clean, serum-based foundations has brides looking for light coverage with a glowy/satin skin finish.”

To find the right balance of matte and dewy, Greenberg recommends combining your cream and powder products together, which will reduce your chances of looking too oily or matte for the big day. “You want to make sure your skin is hydrated and apply thin layers of product with soft makeup brushes before lightly setting the look with a lightweight powder,” adds Greenberg.

What bride doesn’t want to glow on her wedding day? Luckily, the coolest trend of the year happens to do just that and more. “This look is timeless and will never go out of style,” says Seropian. “It would be perfect for a soft garden-themed or destination wedding, especially during the spring and summer.” The secret to recreating the look? “Powder. Everyone is scared of powder, but if you prep your skin properly and use a soft amount, your glam will not move.”

Seropian also suggests applying a lightweight primer for a natural glow before going in with a dewy foundation that offers light to medium coverage. And to elevate the glowy look even more, she recommends a soft pastel or neutral eyeshadow, a rosy pink blush, shimmery highlighter and a glossy nude lip.

Especially if yours is an outdoor wedding, try this this soft, natural look, which uses neutral tones, shimmers and lightweight formulas. “This soft golden hour look is popular because it creates an ethereal and dreamy ambiance. This emphasizes the glow that enhances the bride’s natural features without looking too dramatic,” explains Wright.

To recreate the look, Wright recommends prepping with hydrating and brightening skincare products. She notes that serums and facial oils are the best route, telling us, “Brides want to create a natural glow on their wedding day because glowing skin is healthy skin.” As for your makeup routine, she says a lightweight foundation (or tinted moisturizer) will boost your complexion—and neutral tones in your blush, highlighter and eyeshadow is the way to go.

Spring saw the rise of baby pink makeup, so it’s no surprise rosy hues are predicted to keep going strong for the warmer months ahead. “It’s a classic look that compliments all eye shapes and skin tones. Plus, it works all year round,” says Kassajikian. The beauty of this trend is that you can go as dramatic or subtle as your venue and other details call for.

As Kassajikian mentioned, this trend works on all skin tones. If you are fair to medium, look for cooler rose tones (like baby pink and pastel pink). On the flip side, deeper skin tones should look for warmer rose shade with red, brown or purple undertones (like mauve, dusty pink and maroon).

If you’re looking to keep things low-key, this minimalist trend should be on your radar. “This makeup look focuses on enhancing your natural beauty and showcasing your features,” Kassajikian tells us. “It’s a great look for an intimate beach or outdoor wedding.”

Kassajikian suggests using a tinted moisturizer before applying neutral brown shades on your lids and lips. Finish by adding a dab of mascara, brushing your brows and adding a touch of highlighter for a subtle glow. “Less is more, so start light and build up the look if needed to ensure a more soft, natural look,” adds Kassajikian.

“Brides are looking for a classic, elevated makeup look,” says Lobell. “I think timeless makeup that enhances natural features is key.” This universally flattering makeup style will stand the test of time—even when you’re rocking out at the reception (or crying your eyes out during the first dance). The key players include a cream highlighter, lashes (or a voluminous mascara) and a cream blush.

Lobell’s secret to mastering timeless elegance is applying highlighter and blush strategically on the cheekbones and the bridge and tip of the nose to avoid looking too shiny or greasy. Other key features include cluster lashes on the outer lash line to “extend the width of the eyes and avoid your eyes looking overwhelmed or sleepy in pictures,” using two shades lighter gel or powder to fill in your brows for a more natural finish and applying a lip liner closer to your natural color to ever so slightly extend the shape of your lips.

This glam look is all about glitter and a pop of aquatic-inspired colors. According to a recent report by Pinterest and Zola, this trend is growing in search for its all-out shimmer effect that gives major Ariel vibes. “Ethereal makeup is meant to look otherworldly—soft glowing but not in a conventional way,” Chicago-based makeup artist Jenny Pantinkin told PureWowin a previous piece. “Unlike the warm tones in the natural makeup look that’s been popular for brides over the past few years, cool silver, lavender, blue, green and white ethereal tones are way less earthy and much more reminiscent of the moon and the stars.”

Start with a hydrating and dewy base before going to town highlighting the areas the sun will hit the most (i.e., cheekbone, cupid’s bow and bridge of your nose). Then the fun begins with making the cheeks pop with a vibrant rosy blush, applying a light shimmer eyeshadow at the inner corners of your eyes and finishing the look with glossy lip.
